Children and Youth Classes Starting Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 10:00-10:45 a.m.

Godly Play – A Montessori-based religious education program designed to bring children closer to the mystery of the presence of God. Ages 3-K, classroom 1 (third floor); grades 1, 2 & 3, classroom 2 (third floor); grades 4 & 5, classroom 3 (third floor.) Grade 6 (4th floor apartment) 10:00-10:45 a.m.

Rite-13 - Grades 6 & 7, 10:00-10:45. Third floor classroom. Team Leaders Jordan Edwards and Tanya Earls.

Journey to Adulthood (J2A) Grades 8 & 9, 10:00-10:45 a.m. Fourth Floor apartment classroom. Team Leaders Jim Vanderveen and Ellen Cummings.

Young Adults in the Church (YAC) Grades 10 & 11. 10:10-45 a.m., Third floor classroom. Team Leaders Joe and Cara Wells, and Terry and Jennifer Hall.

“If you seek the Christ, together we will find him.” This is the motto of Journey to Adulthood, a program of spiritual formation that offers wonderful opportunities for learning, growth, development, fellowship, recreation, and service, specifically addressing secular and spiritual issues in a Christian contest. The guiding principle is that adulthood is earned or learned.

In addition to the Sunday morning classes, at least two outside activities a month are held for each class: social/peer-bonding activities, inter-faith activities, movie nights, liturgies, parish and community service, pilgrimages, mission trips, and more.
