Sunday Morning Adult Classes

Sunday school classes will resume Sunday, Sept. 19, 10-10:45 a.m.

Life at Trinity

This six week repeating series is a study for new comers led by Ed Roling, this class will study the book, Those Episcopals, and the great new book, Jesus Was an Episcopalian.  Both of these books are entertaining introductions to all things Episcopal, and useful to newcomers and old timers alike.   This class meets in Classroom 4, next to the Library.

The Gospel, The New York Times, and You

A class that will read the editorial pages of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the assigned gospel for the day.  Bring your life experiences, your insights, an open heart and mind and let us see where your culture, politics, and news meet the gospel.  Facilitated by Tom Dahlman.  This class will meet in the 3rd Floor Conference Room.

The Gospel According to Gilligan

Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time

Led by Marie Farnsworth, this class is thoughtful, inclusive, at times radical, but always a safe place to listen and be heard.  Edith Stern, a Jewish woman who became a Carmelite nun, believed that a spirituality of compassion and responsibility for others enables us to contribute in some limited personal way to the unlimited self-giving, embodied in the history and life of Jesus.  This class is multi-generational.  Pick up the book by Marcus Borg in the bookstore and be ready to discuss Chapter 1 on September 11!    This class will meet in the Library.
