Advent Approaches

As Advent approaches, we are busily preparing for this season of anticipation. We invite you to join us for some of our in-person Advent events and activities, if you feel comfortable doing so. From our Drive Through Breakfast with Santa to our Advent Retreat, there is something for just about everyone.

This year we will, once again, take part in the global movement called AdventWord. When you sign up for AdventWord, you will receive a daily email with a word on which to reflect. We encourage you to register and be a part of the community of Christians around the globe preparing for Jesus's birth. If you use social media, you may wish to follow the AdventWord page on facebook, and even share your reflections with us on Facebook and Instagram. If you choose to take part on social media, we ask you to use the hashtags #AdventWord and #TrinityTulsa so that those taking part, both in the global community and the Trinity community, may take this journey together.

We have been watching Tulsa county's Covid numbers carefully in anticipation of a move back inside for the 9:00am service. With the approval of vaccines for children as young as five, we know some families will be comfortable moving inside again. While we understand that the youngest among us are still not able to be vaccinated, we hope that the rest of the Trinity community will take our baptismal vows seriously and respect the dignity of all people by continuing to wear a mask inside to protect our most vulnerable. If the trend continues as it is, we expect to return to the building on Sunday. November 28th - the first Sunday in Advent. Should we have prohibitively cold or inclement weather on the 21st, we may move inside a week early. Once we move inside, coffee hour will return inside, as well.

We are nearly two months in to our annual giving campaign and have received 157 annual giving pledges for a total of $545,501.93. You may pledge online; by using a pledge card found in the back of the pews and on the welcome table; or by contacting our financial secretary Jenny Robertson. Your pledge is a confidential expression of faith and we urge each and every one of you to take part.

Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others.

-Philippians 2:4
