Beloved Siblings in Christ,
Palm Sunday is April 10th. Take part in our palm processions at 9:00am and 11:00am. We will meet in the Great Hall before both services (Church down under meets in the Great Hall, too), for a procession around the campus, culminating in the service. Join Mo. Cheryl in the Great Hall at 10:00am to learn how to make palm crosses.
There will also be an all ages Stations of the Cross in the Church Down Under when the procession is done for those who wish to mark Jesus's journey to his death. We will taste the bitterness of tears, feel the weight of the cross, imagine the pain Mary experienced, and remember what Jesus did for us.
As we draw closer to Holy Week, we invite you to begin thinking about your Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday plans. Sign up for the Agape Dinner and Watch Through the Night, and make plans for services throughout the week on our website here.
This year, rather than the Silent Auction, the youth fundraiser will be a spaghetti dinner, in answer to the call for more fellowship events as we open back up after the omicron surge. Please plan to join us on May 1st from 6:00-8:30pm for a seated dinner, cooked and served by the youth, along with a gift card pull (receive a mystery gift card worth at least $20 when you take part), raffles and more.
We are in desperate need of donated gift cards worth $20 or more for the fundraising dinner. If you have unwanted/unused gift cards, please consider donating them for this great cause!
We're in the final stretch of Lent now; preparing and waiting for the resurrection. We're looking forward to seeing you more in the coming weeks.
