The church is the people

Beloved Siblings in Christ,

Many of you will have seen Fr. Lee's message last night, in light of the horrific mass shooting on the St. Francis Campus. Our prayers remain with the victims and their families, as they attempt to make sense of this tragedy.

Following two years of uncertainty, financial stress, and changes to our every day way of life, many are struggling. We are seeing it reflected in the headlines, and we see it in our own parish. We, as a people, are weary.

This is the time to turn to your community of faith for support. Fr. Lee, Mo. Cheryl and Deacon Deborah are all on-site daily to help should you need it. Stop in or make an appointment to see them if you need to talk through any challenges you are facing. Check in on your pew mates, see if your Sunday school classmates are doing ok. Let us know if you need a pastoral visit or phone call. We need to be here for each other, maybe now more than ever.

Remember, the church is not the building. The church is the people.
