Beloved Family in Christ,

This week, our experiment with Midweek Meditation began. Parishioners signed up for 15-minute time slots in the church for personal prayer and contemplation. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive and we were very pleased with how smoothly it went. We feel confident that this is a safe way to allow individuals into the church without endangering others. We will continue with these Midweek Meditations by appointment only on Wednesdays through August.

If you would like to sign up for Midweek Meditation, click here. If you would prefer to call for a time slot, you may call Front Office Coordinator, Jan Schneider, at 918-691-9371. We ask that you practice social distancing and wear a mask at all times in the building. Please note, Prayer Books and Hymnals will be removed from the nave to reduce opportunities for virus spread. We hope that facilitating a safe way to provide access to the building will help soothe those missing the quiet of the nave.

Even as we remain closed, it is time to begin considering our Christian Formation programs for 2020-21.  Adult Christian Formation begins on August 2nd with an exciting variety of options taught by clergy and staff. All classes will take place on zoom so please register for classes in order to receive the zoom link. If you've never used zoom - or feel you're not up to the challenge - please contact Hannah Middlebrook who will put you in touch with one of our many technology volunteers. You certainly won't be the only one asking for assistance so don't be shy!  Children and Youth Christian Formation will begin after Labor Day. Please keep an eye out for more details coming soon.

We've been having a blast with our monthly Trivia Nights.  If you haven't zoomed in to one yet, join Director of Youth and Young Adults, Becky Moseman, and Deacon Linda Paul, on Thursday, July 30th at 7:00pm.  This is a fun night of random trivia with other Trinity Parishioners of all ages. Register here to receive the Trivia Night zoom link.

Deacon Deborah Underwood and Mark Shackleford are both seeking new participants for their Education for Ministry (EfM) classes. Classes are traditionally held on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday evenings at the church, but will begin via Zoom under the current circumstances. These small group opportunities to deepen your understanding of your own personal faith, as well as broaden your scriptural knowledge, are unparalleled for the lay person. Contact Deacon Deborah and Mark for more information about their classes.

Don't forget to be a part of the virtual congregation when Rev. Chris Cole is ordained in to the priesthood on Saturday, July 25th. The service will be streamed live on our Facebook Page at 11:00am. It's unfortunate that we cannot be together in person for this joyous occasion, but we are thrilled to be able to celebrate this milestone with Rev. Chris, nonetheless.

It's a tough season for so many reason. But, continue to be the church to each other and we'll come out the other side of this!
