Epiphany chili cook-off 2024 registration

The chili cook-off will take place on January 7th, following the 5:00pm Epiphany service. Please make a minimum of 5lbs of chili. Please let us know if you plan to make more so we can adjust the portion made by the brotherhood. Please check which type of chili you will make, according to the categories of the ICS World Chili Cook-Off Championships. Please keep to these four categories. Additions such as cheese, onions and sour cream will be provided.

Participants should bring their entries to the catering kitchen off the Great Hall by 4:30pm on January 7th. The winner will be announced during the dinner. The winner will receive a $100 cash prize!

What kind of chili will you make? *

Traditional Red - Traditional Red Chili is any kind of meat, or combination of meats, cooked with red chili peppers, various spices and other ingredients. Beans and non-vegetable fillers such as rice and pasta are not allowed. Preference is not given to either cut meat, ground meat, shredded meat or cubed meat.

Homestyle - Homestyle Chili is any kind of meat, or combination of meats, and/or vegetables cooked with beans, chili peppers, various spices and other ingredients. Homestyle chili may be any color. Beans are required. Preference is not given to either cut meat, ground meat, shredded meat or cubed meat. Seafood is allowed.

Chili Verde - Chili Verde is any kind of meat, or combination of meats, cooked with green chili peppers, various spices and other ingredients. Non-vegetable fillers such as rice and pasta are not allowed. Preference is not given to either cut meat, ground meat, shredded meat or cubed meat.

Veggie - Veggie Chili is any kind of vegetable, or combination of vegetables, cooked with chili peppers, various spices and other ingredients. The use of meat and/or any meat by-product is not allowed. The use of soy and meatless “meat” substitutes is allowed. Veggie Chili can be any color.
