Meet Mother Kelsey Carter
This summer, we are highlighting stories of the newly ordained, starting with The Rev. Kelsey Carter, who was ordained as a transitional deacon in January and serves at Christ Church Tulsa.
Kelsey is a mom of three, and has been married 9 years to Isaac. She was ordained three weeks after giving birth to her baby girl, Marigold.
Kelsey shared, “A highlight from these first months was preparing the table for Holy Eucharist one Sunday while wearing her in her carrier because both she and the Church simultaneously needed to be fed.”
